Spyder Lake Winery - Peach is in

Posted by Pam Novak

Spring is here and the wine is beginning to flow.  A couple of weeks ago the winery bottled its batch of Peach wine for the season.   I was lucky enough to know the day it was happening and got to taste it freshly bottled.  It’s was delicious.  I was allowed to go into the bottling room and take a couple of photos.  You can see the huge vat that holds the wine and next to it the machine that fills the bottles.

In a couple of weeks I believe that the next batch is Apricot wine followed a few weeks later by Rhubarb.  I can hardly wait.  I hope to be allowed in while they are actually bottling.  By that time I should have a camera that’s fast enough to catch them working.  I’ve been told that they can get on a roll and do 200 bottles an hour.

Remember to support your local winery…stop by for a taste  @ 3307 Meridian  in Edgewood, WA   or call and arrange a special group tasting 253-445-8034
